Seny Tapas Bar
The menu features traditional Spanish flavors used creatively with artful presentations, while a portion of the menu will be strictly traditional, prepared and presented exactly as they would in Spain's tapas restaurants. Tapas has a widely debated origin, while their form in America has taken on that of being appetizer sized and is one of the leading buzz words in the restaurant industry. Though many fusion restaurants use the word for their appetizers to increase revenues, Seny will offer them in Spanish cuisine as it was meant to be. The cuisine is characterized by a reliance on fresh seafood and vegetables. It's very similar to French food, without all the butter and cream and heavy reductions. Instead sauces are light and the main flavors are allowed to speak for themselves. While Mexican has it's heaviness and cheese, and Latin has its spice from use of dried herbs and spices, traditional Spanish cuisine has a fresh feel and only features local cheeses served marinated or raw, and saffron and paprika are the only dried ingredients ever used.
